Birth Anniversary of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on October 15, 2015 Awadhesh Kumar 08:27 Education Awadhesh Kumar This is to Report that Activity Clubs of IPEM Group of Institutions Ghaziabad organised various Programmes & events to mark the Birth Anniversary of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam on October 15, 2015. Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, popularly known as “Missile Man” born in a middle classfamily, seen and faced problems and hardships of middle class, never dauntedand depressed of failures rose to the height of first citizen of India, thepresident of India, a visionary, a pragmatist, a poet a good human being, acomplete man. He is the architect of India’s Integrated Missile DevelopmentProgramme and was awarded the Supreme honour “Bharat Ratna” for his significantcontribution for the same. After becoming President Dr. Kalam was involved in avery pious task of exhorting and encouraging the youth. His philosophy was torise to the occasion and never felt shy of failures, have faith in Almighty andwork hard to achieve whatever you like to achieve in your life. Dr. Kalambecame a source of unending inspiration to the youth of today. All members of IPEM family including Dr B.S Goel, Executive Director, Director General, Secretary, IPEM Group of Institutions, Director MCA, Dean Academics and HODs & Faculty /Staff & Students of all Departments paid their respect by garlanding the portrait of Dr Kalam. The Director General, Dr (Col.) A.S Malhotra related to Dr Kalam by sharing his views on incorporating the Principles and Philosophies of Dr Kalam in our life. A Poster Competition was organised at Administrative Block Campus 1, where student participants from all Departments displayed their creativity on the theme “Incorporation of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s Philosophy and Principles in our Conduct and Behaviour”. A judge’s panel was formed from faculty from all disciplines and Winners and Runner-Ups were declared. Thirteen posters were on display out of which following were the Awardees: Name of Winners: Gaurav (BBA 1st year) and Anuradha (MCA 3rd year) (Winner) Shivani Singh(BBA 3rd year) (1st Runner-Up) Jyoti Tomar(B.ED. 1ST year) (2nd Runner-Up) A Seminar on the theme “Incorporation of Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam’s Philosophy and Principles in our Conduct and Behaviour” was organised in the Laxmi Chand Auditorium in the campus of the Institute. The event saw enthusiastic participation from Students of all the Departments. These students were judged on the basis of the Content, Confidence and their Oratory skills. The Winners and Runner-Ups were declared. Out of Twelve Participants in the event following were the Awardees: Name of Winners: Roopam Mishra (BCA 2nd year) (Winner) Amarjeet (BCA 1st year) (1st Runner-Up) Saloni Tyagi (BBA 1st year) (2nd Runner-Up) The seminar was followed by a Documentary prepared by MCA Department Student which covered the Life Journey Dr Kalam and inspirational Messages delivered by him during his lifetime. The documentary kept all the audience spellbound and motivated all. The documentary was followed by Prize Distribution ceremony where Winners and Runner ups of all events were awarded Certificates and Mementos. All faculty members also motivated students by sharing their views on incorporating Principles and Philosophies of Dr Kalam in their life.
